There are evenings that feel planned… and there are evenings that feel curated as though the venue itself has been taught a new language of beauty. On 14 January 2026, the Taj Malabar lawns in Kochi became a living canvas for a cultural corporate celebration: Marina Abramović Zydus x Kochi Biennale, dressed in Kerala traditional décor with a quiet sense of luxury and a striking respect for heritage.
As a luxury event styling team in Kerala, our intention was clear: create an immersive corporate ambience where every guest feels welcomed not only by hospitality—but by culture, craft, and Kerala’s timeless grace.
A truly memorable corporate event in Kochi begins at the entrance—where first impressions become feelings.
Guests were welcomed with the magnetic presence of Kathakali artists (male & female)—poised for photography, greeting arrivals with regal stillness and artistry. The air itself carried celebration as Chinkari Melam / Chenda Melam set the tone—powerful, rhythmic, unmistakably Kerala. This welcome was more than entertainment; it was a heritage-led guest experience, designed for a premium corporate gathering at Taj Malabar Kochi.
The lawns unfolded into a story through walkways lined with Raandhal
(Kerala vintage lanterns) and Nilavilakku, creating that warm, old-world glow guests instinctively photograph.
This style of Kerala lantern décor is more than lighting-it’s atmosphere, nostalgia, and luxury blended together.Adding a signature Kerala touch, we placed Uruli floral arrangements along key pathways and corners—delicate floating blooms that looked serene by day and spellbinding by night. If you’ve ever searched for Uruli flower decoration in Kerala events, this is the elevated, editorial version—minimal, authentic, and deeply elegant.
At the heart of the evening, the dining layout created a strong visual identity: long wooden tables for corporate dinner seating, styled with Kerala-inspired refinement. Clean lines, rich wood tones, and crisp symmetry brought a premium feel that suited the scale of a high-profile corporate event at Taj Malabar.
Our wooden chairs were adorned with Kasavu mundu chair ties, adding a ceremonial softness and Kerala identity without overpowering the corporate aesthetic. This detail instantly elevated the setting into something unmistakably local yet globally styled—perfect for a luxury corporate event setup in Kerala.
Cocktail moments deserve their own theatre—subtle, sophisticated, and photogenic. Our cocktail tables were dressed in gold-toned cloth, gathered elegantly and tied with fresh greens (the natural texture adding a contemporary “editorial” finish). For a Kerala-inspired layer, Kasavu runners were introduced with restraint—keeping it refined, not festive-heavy.
Centrepieces were styled in Urulis for cocktail zones and lower round tables across the lawns—soft floating florals that held the eye gently, especially as evening lighting deepened. This is the kind of detail that defines premium lawn event décor: calm, deliberate, and visually luxurious.
For guest convenience and elevated service design, we created two separate beverage counters:
Each counter was crafted using coconut leaf woven structures, giving an artisanal Kerala touch while still feeling high-end and contemporary. The counters were lit with Raandhal lanterns, ensuring the bar zones looked warm, cinematic, and inviting—an ideal blend for Kerala traditional themed corporate events.
Every event deserves one focal element that becomes the memory of the night.
For this celebration, it was our Vanchi (boat) décor installation—a Kerala-inspired statement piece that looked like culture floating gently onto the lawn. Styled with lush botanical textures, heritage accents, and artistic abundance, the Vanchi became a conversation starter, a photography moment, and a true symbol of Kerala cultural event styling.
When people speak of unique corporate event décor ideas in Kerala, this is the kind of signature installation that separates “decor” from design storytelling.
As the night transitioned from golden hour to stage-light brilliance, the lawns transformed into a premium corporate arena—sound, lighting, and stage energy complementing the cultural styling rather than competing with it.
The Marina Abramović visual branding was supported with warm, heritage-style illumination—lantern-lined edges and ambient highlights that maintained the Kerala mood even within a modern corporate production environment. This balance is key in corporate event management in Kochi: culture must feel intentional, not ornamental.
This event was designed for guests who notice details—and for a brand experience that needed both art and authenticity.
From Kasavu chair ties, to Uruli floral centrepieces, from Nilavilakku-lit walkways, to the coconut woven bar counters, the styling followed one rule:
Kerala tradition, presented in a luxury language.
If you are planning a corporate event at Taj Malabar Kochi, a lawn dinner setup, or a Kerala cultural theme event, we design experiences that feel elevated, immersive, and unforgettable—where tradition is not merely used, but honoured.
